## Description

Our client, a 100+ bed healthcare facility located about 45 mins from Hendersonville, NC in the Southwestern part of NC near the Blue Ridge foothills, has a need for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their team. This is a Night shift position working 7p-7a, with every other weekend rotation.

- Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer;, EKGs, and tobacco-cessation education as ordered.

- Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and response to treatment.

- Responds to codes and emergent calls; assesses patient condition and provides appropriate interventions.

- Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.

- Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.

- Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas and equipment readiness.

- Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrates respiratory equipment.

- Performs all responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.

- Participates in performance improvement and required education.




**QUALIFICATIONS**


**Education**: Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.


**License**: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of North Carolina.


**Certifications**: BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.
