RN Director Surgical Services

Our client, a hospital located in the West Palm Beach FL area, has a need for a Director of Surgical Services to join their team.

The Director of Surgical Services ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

Overview

• 9 ORs; 1 of those is hybrid
• 5500 cases/year; volumes continue to increase
• 5 XI Robots; center of excellence for robotics
• In process of getting Rosa robot
• Women’s & Children’s Hospital – a lot of GYN & pediatrics
• Ortho
• Bariatrics
• Neurosurgery

Reporting Structure

• Director reports into hospital COO
• Direct Reports – OR Manager, PACU Lead, Pre Op Lead, SPD Supervisor
• All service lines also have a coordinator
• ~84 FTEs
• GI does not report into surgical services

Ideal candidate experience:

• Must have Surgical Services Director or Manager experience
• BSN required
