RN Director Surgical Services

Our client, a hospital located in the Denver, CO area, has a need for a Director of Surgical Services to join their team.

The Director of Surgical Services ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

Overview

• Level II Trauma
• Facility has 24 ORs. This Director is over “Main OR” (10 rooms) + SPD
• Everything that is not ortho/spine/joint comes through the main OR
• Robotics center with 6 XIs + 1 DV5
• Total surgical volumes are 1,000+/month. About half of this comes through the main OR

Reporting Structure

• This position is over the Main OR (10 ORs) + SPD
• This director reports into the VP Surgical Services (Spine & Joint OR has separate director, and there is also a Periop Director – all 3 directors report into VP Surgical Services)
• OR manager + SPD manager report into this Director

Ideal candidate experience:

• Must have Surgical Services Director or Manager experience
• BSN required
