RN Director Surgical Services

Our client, a hospital located in the Houston, TX area, has a need for a Director of Surgical Services to join their team. The Director will report to the COO and there are 2 Manager and 1 Supervisor, approximately 90 FTEs reporting to the Director.

The Director of Surgical Services ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

Dept info:

• 70% adult/women’s services/30% pediatrics for surgical volumes
• 500 cases/month, 6k cases/year
• GYN, breast reconstruction, oncology care, GI, colorectal, general, neonatal surgeries

Ideal candidate experience:

• Must have Surgical Services Director or Manager experience
• BSN required
• Pediatrics experience – nice to have
